Turning 2

I know, it's still a few months away but I am thinking of having a (small) themed Birthday party for Mia, she was born on Halloween. Time is going by so fast now that we are home, October will be here in no time. Nothing scary, just fun an colorful.....have any ideas you would like to share with me? As she gets older this will be much easier to plan for but at 2 what do you do?

Good idea to start early! We just celebrated Hannah's first birthday last weekend. She turned 1 while in China but I wanted to still celebrate. First you will need to decide if you are going to make it Halloween themed or not. Once you pick the theme try Etsy.com
They have beautiful handmade decorations. I did a pink and brown party and got a "Happy Birthday" sign and "I am One" banner made up. Oh, you could do a candy themed party. Get all different size jars and fill them with different types of candy. You could have them on a main table with all candy decorations. Tie the jars with matching ribbon. Oh what fun! I could do this for a living...only I dont :( Google candy parties and see what you come up with. Good Luck and keep me updated on what you choose. It will be perfect what ever you decide to do!

Sounds like fun! I am hoping it is still warm Sept. here for Chloe's I think we are just going to have a giant party in the park.
Isn't it fun to finally be thinking about planning a birthday party. We are already practicing blowing out candles :D

The good news is that you don't need to do much. There's no expectation there so whatever you choose to do for her special day (big or small) will be wonderful.

What fun! I think it's great you are starting to plan it now. Trust me. the time will be here before you know it. I saw the comment about Etsy and they have lots of great party printables. We kept it pretty simple for Sofia and Sammy so far. usually just family at this point. As they get older we will invite friends over, etc. Probably next year we will start that. How about having a Birthday/Halloween party? That would be so much fun. Halloween is my favorite holiday already and with Mia's birthday on that day, it makes it even better!
