Referral time!

Referrals coming in now are for families whose dossiers were logged in to China from July 23 through August 9, 2005. CONGRATS TO ALL!
Visit Salsa in China, you can take a look at her site and see the referrals -they are waiting for a TA-they have twins! (Where does she get the time?)

Room with a view

Here is Jasmin & Danes' favorite place in the house. I'm sure they sit up here when we are gone and just people watch. Notice the ratty old comforter on the bed....This is just for them. This is the other bedroom upstairs right across from Mia's room. After we bring Mia home bet Jasmin and Dane will spend alot of time in her room, they have to be where the action is at all times.

Truck is done

Here is Gordon's new vehicle...finally complete w/ light package and dark tinted windows. There is plenty of room for Jasmin & Dane and it is easy for them to get in and out of. Our doggies get to go bye bye now more often! The Durango we had was very difficult for Jasmin to get out of. Even though she can get in this truck w/o problems I am still ordering a pet ramp for them, it folds up and we can just take it with us where ever we go. That's our house in the background.

Only a picture can explain

Here is what DH (dear husband) & DN (dear Niece) have been up to today!
There is a reason I give him a cell phone when he run erands! Oh yea, they had fun but it took 5 1/2 hours to find someone to get them UN-STUCK ! Kerri please make note this is NOT a black truck.........still waiting.

Click on pictures for a closer view!

This was a $225.00 day!

He was 1/2 a mile from the road.....not easy to reach that vehicle and just pull it out, noooo that would be too easy! BTW, Joy had a camera with her. PERFECT!

I think there will be a gift in the near future for me, what do you think?

Fun with Treadmills

I would break a leg doing this for sure!
9 months of gestation in 20 seconds - New Version!

I heard there was a lot of Hub-bub about this viedo, I myself do not see the problem & think it is quite cool to see the progress. If only our wait was a quick as this!

Only worked 4 days this week but I am sure glad to finally see the weekend! Hope everybody has a great weekend.

Gordon's new toy

There is a story behind this new car.....
We took my truck (big, red Dodge Ram) on vacation, for some reason I didn't want to take Gordon's Durango (it's not old 2004 there was just something telling me to take my truck) normally we go everywhere in his vehicle. When we returned from vacation and went to Target that evening. After shopping we returned to the car and click, click, wouldn't start. Gordon & I just started laughing our tails off, I told him "good thing we didn't take this up to the mountains". Right then Gordon finds a lady bug on my passenger door! (it was 9:00 pm - at night people) "That's it! That's our sign! We are selling this truck tomorrow"I said. The car was towed to the Dodge dealer, when we picked it up the next day after the repairs Gordon drove it straight to the car wash then over to Land Rover. We had been looking for another vehicle for the past month and really liked the last Land Rover we had so this was an easy decision. Of course Gordon likes all the off road stuff so I will post another picture Friday after it is all done getting decked out with it's "bling". Boys and their toys, what can you say.
OH, by the way if you are afraid of heights as I am - DO NOT let the salesman take you on the driving course!!!

Big Brown Envelope!

It came today! We got our Big Brown Envelope!!! Just when I was feeling down this came in to pick me up. Now it actually feels real, we are going to be parents.
For those of you who don't know about the big brown envelope, it is an envelope of documents from the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou, China.
The package included documents such as:
Application for orphan's visa.
Map of the U.S. Consular Section (In China)
Petition to classify an orphan an immediate family member.
The forms that the doctor in China will need to complete since they require each adopted child must have a complete medical check.
Vaccination Requirements for a foreign Adopted Child.

More pictures

Property in Hayesville, NC. Here is the good (waterfalls) & bad (fog) of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Blogger isn't playing nice pictures keep getting mixed up.

View of Gregs property.

Back home on FLAT land!

We are back! OK remember that we went up to North Carolina to look for some get-away propertythis past week????? WELL it's not gonna happen! I cannot live in those mountains, I'm too afraid of heights. Gordon & I had fun, lots of laughs (mostly at me due to the crying episodes when driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fog @ 6500 feet up). I put up a pic of the in the heck do you guys drive up there in the fog????? Not kidding, I was crying. This Florida girl is happy to stay right here in Florida for a while. There wasn't a Starbucks in sight untill we hit Asheville ! The scenery was beautiful but we are too spoiled right here with everything 5 or 10 minutes tops away from us. We arrived up in Murphy, NC on Sunday and returned on Wed. The weather outlook was rain, rain and more rain Wed, Thurs and Fri so we decided to head out.
Actually I'm quite proud of Gordon, he found our friends property in Georgia with very sketchy know the kind....go down the road until you see a gas station (ok that gas station looked like 2 pumps that were left from an abandoned station) turn left and keep going until you cross a wood bridge (RICKETY OLD bridge would be the better description) then if you pass the beer joint you have gone too far. How was that for directions?
I will have to catch up on with blogging friends this week.

Off to North Carolina !

Tomorrow we will leave for a vacation..Finally! I actually thought there would be no vacations until our trip to China but Gordon thought it would be good to just get away. I'm looking forward to a change in scenery and MAYBE some cooler weather, at least at night. Bringing our camera so will post when we get home. The doggies will be hanging out w/ Gordon's parents here at home so they won't miss us (or their bed) too much. Hate to leave Jasmin & Dane home but with 2 dogs and 1 of them weighing 145 lbs+ it's difficult to take them on a long car ride.
Happy blogging everybody and see you in a week.

3 down and counting!

Yes we have made it thru another month and time is dragging...some months seem to go faster than others. As I figure it we have only 9 more months to wait until we get a referral....that is assuming it will not slow down any more.
